Pirla appointed coach of Turkish club

Former Italian club Juventus coach Andrea Pirla has been appointed head coach of Turkish league club Fatty Karagumruk. Pirlo has signed a one-year contract with Karagumruk. Pirla has returned to training after about a year. Pirlo, 43, was sacked by Juventus in May 2021. Despite Juventus winning the Italian Cup and Super Cup in his coaching career, he was sacked after finishing fourth in Serie A.

Juventus have lost the Serie A title since 2012. Juventus finished fourth in the league this season after failing to win a Serie A title. He has played for Inter Milan, AC Milan and Juventus in New York City, USA. He has scored 13 goals in 116 caps for Italy.
